Day 1: Siem Reap arrival (G)

Arriving at Siem Reap airport, you’ll be picked up and transferred to your hotel in Siem Reap. On the way, you’ll stop to visit to a Silk Farm of Phouk. The Silk Farm is a fascinating farm/workshop where you can see the entire silk creation process including growing the food for the silk worms (mulberry bushes), breeding the worms.... The remainder of the day will be your own. Your overnight accommodation will be in Siem Reap

Day 2: Siem Reap (B, L, G)

After breakfast, your guide will arrive to take you to visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom including: the South Gate, the Bayon with 54 towers, each carved with four faces of the compassionate Boddhisattva, the nearby temple-mountain of Baphuon, the Royal Enclosure with the Phimeanakas temple, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Angkor Wat , dedicated to the Hindu God - Vishnu. Enjoy the sunset from Phnom Bakeng Hill, offering an outstanding view over Angkor. Your overnight stay will be in Siem Reap

Day 3: Siem Reap (B, L, G)

After breakfast, you’ll explore the monastic complex of Preah Khan – the Sacred Sword, the small island temple of Neak Pean, and the Ta Som. These three temples were built by King Jayavarman VII and illustrate the preeminence of Mahayana Buddhism during his reign. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. You’ll continue your visit to the twin temples of Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda (early 12th century), the unfinished temple-mountain of Ta Keo, the Srah Srang holy pond, Bantey Kdei and then the scenic Ta Prohm monastery, left to the devouring jungle. You’ll spend the night in Siem Reap

Day 4: Siem Reap (B, L, G)

A morning drive will take you to visit the famous temple of Bantey Srey “the Citadel of Women”. This small pink sandstone temple is considered as the crown jewel of classical Khmer art with the beauty of its carvings. Continue to Bantey Samre (mid 12th century), which has been admirably restored. After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll drive to board a boat cruise on Tonle Sap Lake to visit the village of Kompong Pluk, where you can ‘go native’ aboard a dugout canoe for a paddle through the flooded forest near the village.

You’ll drive back to Siem Reap with a stop en-route at the “Chantiers-Ecole, Les Artisans d’Angkor”, a vocational training center, which revives the classic Cambodian techniques and styles of wood and stone carving and polychrome. You’ll spend the night in Siem Reap.

Day 5: Siem Reap departure (B, DP)

You’ll have free time until your driver arrives to take you Siem Reap airport for your international departure flight.
